While it's best known as a spot for lovers, Virginia wears many hats. Rich in history, full of charm and exceptional at wine making, it's an unbeatable getaway for a girl's trip.
Each year, my best friend Kate and I, along with our moms, choose a location to host our girl’s trip (as if we are the Olympics and cities are vying for our attention). This year, being only a shy two hours from Kate’s condo in D.C. we happily agreed on Orange, Virginia. Sifting through a number of Bed and Breakfasts in and around the area, we decided on the Inn at Westwood Farm. When you decide to make a trip, and you absolutely should, you MUST stay at the Inn. Aside from having the most hospitable, interesting and gracious hosts, the Inn sets a standard of excellence with their fine linens, hand-milled organic soaps and fresh-cut flowers. It’s lovely.
